I think I may have found out one of the reasons why the pictures don't expand.
It does have a few useful hints about layout etc.
Once I've uploaded the picture into the text, I tend to do the 'drag & drop' thing to re-position the photo. When uploaded the picture appears at the top of the post window. Moving it to another position appears to cause a break in the link, and could be a reason why the picture won't expand.
So to test this theory out I've used the Peak 'O' Trial map again. The picture at the top of the post wasn't moved. Picture at the bottom of the post was.
