A bracing few days up in Jennings country.
Up on the Screes on Friday morning in very cold conditions. My slowest ever time for this round ~ 3:57 compared with a best of 3:11 in 2006 when I was dragged around by the brother-in-law.
Gable and Scafell with their heads in the clouds, Lingmell just about clear, Scafell Pike mostly obscured by cloud and Scafell; from Illgill Head.
Then on Sunday, proof that curlews really do take their winter breaks on the coast.
This was at Saltcoats, just across the Mite estuary from Ravenglass; spotted by the OSH. One of ours? More likely one of Joss's.
