This informal, competitive swim along the length of Smithills Reservoir is scheduled for the evening of Thursday 26th August. A few questions:-
Is anybody apart from Mary W and me planning to do it?
If you fancy it, but can't make that date, do you want to suggest an alternative?
What would be a good start time, allowing for folk possibly homing in from a number of directions?
We're hoping that each swimmer will come with a minder who will be equipped with a whistle. The minder doesn't need to be a swimmer; they just watch their swimmer and if they get into difficulties (the swimmer, not the minder) they blow and we all go into lifeguard mode. Are you OK to mind me, JtE?
What will we do if it rains, cos we don't want to get wet?
