This is the on-line journal of a small ill-defined group of mostly geriatric runners who share a love of the fells. It also covers a sub-group, best described as drinkers with a running problem, who struggle to combine dwindling athletic ability with an increasing thirst for cheap alcohol. I'll be there. 2nd long run of the week, I think I need the practice - 4hrs it took yesterday to run winter hill race route, admittedly not 'race pace' effort but not sure where I'm going to cut at least 45mins from. The only thing that performed well yesterday were the new sealskinz socks.
Considering this, when would be the best time to tell Tony V - when I'm on the start-line or should I give him the opportunity to return the entry fee before then?
I'm sure you'll be in front of me. I may decide to ignore this chesty cough that Diane brought down from Newcastle and join the throng tomorrow morning, hangover permitting. J will have to do t'shopping.
