The Shadow

I've always felt a bit guilty in that we've never come up with a nom de cours for Colin W.

However, Colin himself has proposed, and I, on all your behalves, have accepted that in future he be referred to as TS. This will, in the fullness (pun) of time stand for "The Shadow". If you tempt him with alcohol (this will delay the transition) he may tell you to what it currently refers.

Tour de Scafell

There seems to be abit of interest in this, more here:-

Or if Not an LDWA Event...

...how about the "Tour de Scafell"?

This is a 25k race from Wasdale Head, taking in Esk Hause and The Woolpack in Eskdale returning via the Burnmoor Corpse Road.  It's on Saturday 24th November. Further details from Richard@carolclimb.co.uk.  Start any time between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.

I'm keen to do it, but not keen enough to travel up on my own. Any takers?

Going North

Going up to Santon tomorrow, not UTUPing again until Thursday 25th.
More is less

We were a bit thin on the ground for Saturday's UTUP and would have been even thinner  if JtE had not turned up.  He and EtU went off to do the climbs (is there a report coming?) while the rehab section (me)  did my regular  lower tour of Rivington and Horwich  extended slightly this time to take in more of Lever Park and adding Two Lads for an extra bit of climbing.  The extra mile plus the added climb  could have explained my lower pace (over 17 mins per miles) or it could have been stopping to talk to a snapper (not NLN) on Two Lads.
